I am an assistant professor of economics at Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas. I am teaching courses in the areas of macroeconomics, money and banking, economic history, and financial economics. My research interests lie in economic history, in particular the areas of money, credit, banking, and financial crises.
My research has been published in the Journal of Economic History, the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, and the American Economic Review (Papers and Proceedings). I frequently interact and co-author with researchers at different Federal Reserve Banks such as the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, as well as the Office of Financial Research (OFR) at the U.S. Treasury.
My research on economic history has been presented three times at different summer institutes of the National Bureau of Economic Research, The Federal Reserve Banks of Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, and Richmond, as well as multiple times at the Annual Meetings of the American Economic Association.
